Drop Off
Access gates for Elementary School Drop-Off (from 7:45 AM):
- Pedestrian Gate at the Swimming Pool Parking Lot
- Pedestrian Gate at the North Entrance to the Fire Lane
Kindergarten to Grade 2 students go to the playground for supervised play time. When the bell rings, students meet their homeroom teacher or teaching assistant and walk together to class.
Grade 3-5 students go to the field. When the bell rings, students go upstairs to their classrooms.
On rainy days, all students go directly to their classroom.
Please note that elementary parents of students in Grade 2 or below may accompany their child(ren) onto campus for drop-off on August 19, 20, and 21. After this date, they are asked to drop off at the designated gates. Please note that there will be increased supervision in play areas to ensure the continued safety of students on site before the start of the school day.
Pick Up & After School Activities
- Dismissal is 3:00 PM for all Elementary School students
- After School Activities run from 3:10 to 3:55 PM
A reminder that Kindergarten, Grade 1 and Grade 2 students should be picked up at their classroom. Grades 3-5 students should be picked up in the fire lane behind the school, at the bottom of the stairs by their class.
Once a student has been released to a parent or guardian, that adult is responsible for providing appropriate supervision while on campus. We encourage all parents and guardians to keep their children within eyesight and monitor their safety and behavior appropriately.
Drop-Off
With the construction zones on the South side of the school, parents of Middle School and High School families are asked to use the newly paved parking lot opposite the HealthCity Complex for drop-off and pick-up. Students in Grades 11 and 12 who drive to school are asked to use this parking lot during the school day.
Students and staff should use the pedestrian walkway from the parking lot to the campus and access school via the High School pedestrian gate or the Middle School pedestrian gate.
The High School building is open by 7:30 a.m. Students may use the First Floor Commons as a gathering area until the start of the school day at 8:00 am.
Pick-Up
Parents are asked to use the same parking lot for pick up or arrange to pick up on the North side of the school, where students can exit via the Early Childhood Center or the pedestrian gate at the North end of the Fire Lane.
Safeguarding and Visitor Access
As part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all members of our school community, we are introducing access and sign-in procedures. These measures are designed to strengthen safeguarding practices and ensure that everyone on campus can be easily identified and supported.
Visitors
All parents and visitors are required to report to the Administration Building upon arrival to sign in. Once signed in, you will be issued with a visitor sticker, which must be worn at all times while on campus and returned when signing out.
If the school does not hold a current record of your police clearance and completed child protection training, you will be required to be accompanied by a staff member while moving around the campus.
These visitor procedures apply between 7:00 am and 3:00 pm each school day.
These changes form part of our ongoing commitment to strengthening safeguarding across the school. We are committed to fostering a culture where the safety and wellbeing of our students remain our highest priority, and where our access control procedures reflect this commitment.
Thank you for your cooperation and support as we implement these important measures. Your partnership helps us maintain a safe and secure environment for every member of our school community.
