Discover the World

Week Without Walls is an immersive educational experience where students travel with teachers and guides to explore a new country’s culture, history, and natural beauty. During the week, students volunteer with local organizations, engage with families, and visit iconic sites, fostering a deep connection with the destination and its people. This unique program combines service, cultural exchange, and adventure, providing students with meaningful hands-on learning opportunities. Past trips have taken students to diverse locations like Costa Rica’s lush rainforests, France’s historic landmarks, and Iceland’s stunning landscapes. Week Without Walls encourages personal growth, global awareness, and lifelong memories beyond the classroom.

Meaningful Moments, Right Here

For students who don’t travel off-island during Week Without Walls, there are enriching local opportunities to develop skills, serve the community, and explore Cayman’s natural beauty. Students can engage in service by volunteering at the Humane Society or gain hands-on work experience with esteemed local organizations, including Health City, Deloitte, PwC, Art Nest, and CUC, among others. Additionally, some students can join Dragon Bay Sailing Club for a water sports experience, building leadership and communication skills through activities like paddle boarding, wind foiling, and sailing. These local options ensure all students have a week filled with valuable learning and personal growth.

International Baccalaureate Programme

The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme is offered at Cayman International School to students in Grades 11 and 12 (however, not all students will choose to participate in the program). The IB Diploma Programme is a demanding, challenging and comprehensive two-year international curriculum, during which time students prepare for international external exams in late April and May of their final school year.
